Matt
Masden began his law enforcement career with Montgomery
County in the Precinct 5 Constable’s Office in 1983,
and has continued to serve that department for the last
22 years. For the past 10 years, he has served as Chief
Deputy over all divisions, including civil, criminal,
traffic, livestock and juvenile.
Matt
Masden graduated from Magnolia High School in 1977.
Matt holds a Master Law Enforcement Certificate, the
highest possible, through the Texas Education Commission
on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education.
In the last 22 years, Matt has acquired over 1400 hours
in civil and criminal law enforcement and justice court
training.
Throughout
the years, Matt has been very active in educating our
community’s youth in various programs. Some of these
programs include: I-Denti-Child, Stranger Danger, drug
and alcohol awareness programs, Latchkey, McGruff the
Crime Dog, Teen Court and other safety and awareness
programs that our community has needed over the years.
In
addition to educating our community’s youth, Matt has
spoken at or participated in numerous community events
in the last 22 years. Some of those events include:
area property owners’ meetings, Lions Club, VFW, Montgomery
County Libraries, Magnolia FFA Show, Magnolia Education
Foundation, and the Magnolia Athletic Booster Club.
